"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. In order to achieve happiness, it is imperative to gain mastery of your body. If at age of 30 you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If at 60 you are supple and strong then you are young"

Joseph Hubertus Pilates
Our Approach

At REALITY LIVING we offer a hands-on and holistic approach to all of our practices.

Our classes are kept small in order to provide individual attention. Our clients benefit from individualised assessment and classes are designed to cater for each client's individual needs and abilities.

The many benefits of pilates include:

  • Increases core strength and flexibility
  • Improves posture
  • Reduces back and joint pain and risk of injury
  • Aids general well-being
  • Tones and strengthens all muscle groups
  • Beneficial during pregnancy and after birth
  • Accelerates recovery of sports injuries
  • Suitable for people who suffer from chronic disorders, i.e. ME/Arthritis/Hypermobility

We currently provide classes in a range of locations in and around London and are open to expanding to other areas where there is demand. We also offer one-to-one tuition and we can arrange for an instructor to visit you in the comfort of your own home.

Sports Massage is a collection of various techniques that can deliver a deeper more intense massage. Draining away the excess toxins stored up in the muscles can relieve knots in the muscles, or areas of tightness. It improves circulation and the condition of the skin. If you do take regular exercise or play a sport then massage can prevent injuries and help relax overused muscles. We all naturally rub areas of pain so having a massage is a natural reliever, but must not be considered a cure, any long term pain or recurring injuries should always be referred to a GP.

We all suffer from stress at sometime in our life, which affects out body as well as our mind. Some people feel tension in their neck, shoulders and suffer from tension headaches. Others may develop physical symptoms such as regular colds, insomnia, irritability, and much more. Most of us don't like to take medication for these and so continue to put up with it, because we don't have time to 'go for a massage' or don't like to take our clothes off! Well, Indian Head Massage is a flexible alternative, because it can be performed while you are seated on a normal chair, fully clothed so therefore, completely mobile. It could even be done during your lunch hour at work or in the comfort of your own home. Alternatively, oils can be used directly onto the skin and head for a deeper and more intense experience. Whether you just want to treat yourself once in a while or suffer with a stress related condition, a treatment plan can be offered to suit your needs.

If you have never heard of Hopi Ear-candling then don't worry, not many people have yet! It is a very simple technique, where the client lies on their side on a comfortable surface, while a specially designed, natural beeswax candle is placed lightly in the opening of the ear and lit. The candle takes about 10 to 15 minutes to burn and is performed on each ear. It is perfectly safe because it does not burn like a normal candle as it is made of a natural material and so does not drip like wax. Once you have got used to the sensation it can be very relaxing, most clients often have a snooze! The effect is called 'the chimney' as the vacuum gently draws up any impurities and gently massages the ear canal, so can be an alternative to syringing. Some people who suffer with impacted wax, catarrh and congestion often report a relief but this has not been proved as a remedy or a cure. You don't have to suffer with anything to have a session, as it is just a very relaxing experience and an alternative to a massage.
