“As a sufferer of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME), regular Pilates classes with Rea have helped improve my energy levels as well as helping to tone up core muscles.
I also find that Pilates helps me cope better with stress and relax more which has had a positive effect on my general health.“
“I am self employed and a mother of two young children. My weekly one hour Pilates session keeps me sane it centres me providing vital me time in a week that is filled with my clients and my family's needs. Not to mention I now have tummy muscles again hurrah!“
“I have suffered with lower back pain for as long as I can remember which has worsened since taking on a job that involves a lot of standing. Through massage, I did gain some pain relief, although it has not cured me entirely, it has certainly changed my opinion about alternative therapy and I do recommend it. My problem is a spinal one, but massaging the tight muscles beside it is a welcome relief.“

I suffer with hypermobility syndrome which means my body is odd and can do odd things! Odd is quirky and often good, but more often than not my hypermobility equated to pain and not pleasure. Since discovering Pilates I have made my body stronger and my knees and hips no longer dislocate simply because I have strengthened the group of weak muscles that support them. Consequently, I am passionate about Pilates and the benefits it has made to my life.

Changing one's carreer after 28 years is a BOLD step...and one that I am yet to regret. A decade ago I was taking small steps towards a wheelchair, I then discovered Pilates. Today the "W" word no longer exists in my vocabulary. Based on personal experience of rehabilitating to a healthy and painfree lifestyle, I am convinced that teaching Pilates and promoting its' benefits was the right step to take.

I have worked in an office environment for over ten years which involves long day and night shifts hunched in front of a computer screen. I therefore suffer with tight shoulders, neck pain and tension headaches. As someone who has reaped the rewards from massage therapy, I became interested in studying the art of massage and its many benefits and am now fully trained. It is now no longer an interest or simply a hobby but an alternative career whereby I can give relief to others suffering from similar problems and who I can empathise with.
